What Chato.pro is (and is not)
Chato.pro is a web-based WhatsApp inbox. It is designed for teams that need many WhatsApp numbers, or one number used by several people, without setting up the Meta Cloud API. It is not an official WhatsApp Business API product. Linking works like WhatsApp Web: a QR code, then a live session tied to the phone.
1. Sign in to Chato.pro
Open chato.pro in a browser and sign in with Google. That Chato account is the workspace. Everyone who should share an inbox uses this same login — Chato does not use a separate invite-and-roles system.
2. Connect a WhatsApp number with a QR code
Chato shows a QR code for a new session. On the phone that owns that WhatsApp number, open WhatsApp and use Linked devices (the same flow as WhatsApp Web). Scan the code. The phone must stay online, as with WhatsApp Web.
3. Read and reply in the web inbox
Chats for that number appear in the Chato dashboard. You can search, send messages, and keep several numbers in one sidebar if you added more than one session.
4. Either add more numbers, or share the same login
One person can connect extra WhatsApp numbers (each is a paid session after trial). Several people can also sign in with the same Chato account and work one number together. The customer still messages a single WhatsApp line.
5. Optional: turn on the AI chatbot for a session
On the Standard plan, each connected account can use the included AI chatbot. You train it with your own knowledge so common questions get a first reply without a human on every message.
Trial limits
The free trial lasts 7 days, needs no card, and includes 1 WhatsApp session. To keep that number after the trial, or to add more numbers, you subscribe. Extra numbers are €5 per account per month.
